A plain-language explanation of what this website collects, why it is used, and which services help operate The Alana Show online.
The Alana Show collects only the information needed to respond to inquiries, manage requested email updates, operate and improve the website, support clearly disclosed partner relationships, and protect the service. Information submitted through the website is not sold.
Information you choose to provide
Contact inquiries
The contact form may collect your name, email address, organization, phone number, inquiry type, website or social link, message, and limited page context that identifies where an inquiry began.
Newsletter signups
The newsletter form may collect a first name and email address. New signups use a confirmation flow so an address is not treated as an active subscription until the recipient confirms through the email service.
The website forms do not ask for payment-card numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other similarly sensitive credentials.
How submitted information is used
Contact information is used to review and respond to the inquiry you send. Newsletter information is used to manage the subscription and send the updates you requested.
Submitted information is not sold. The Alana Show may use service providers to process information only as needed to operate these functions.
Services that help operate the site
The website currently relies on a small number of infrastructure and platform providers:
- Vercel hosts the website and server-side functions and may process standard technical request information needed to deliver, secure, and measure the site.
- Resend is used to deliver contact-form inquiries to The Alana Show.
- Kit is used to manage newsletter subscriptions and confirmation.
- YouTube / Google supplies video content and the embedded video player.
- AvantLink may provide affiliate tracking links for selected, clearly disclosed commercial partners. Affiliate tracking is initiated only after a visitor affirmatively chooses to continue through a designated partner link.
- Google Analytics may be used for optional audience measurement only when it is configured for the site and a visitor chooses “Allow analytics.” The site does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, website/social fields, or raw search text in its custom analytics events.
Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices as well as the configuration used by this website.
The site does not use a third-party advertising pixel as part of its standard measurement setup. Optional Google Analytics measurement is consent-gated and is not loaded when a visitor declines or when no Google Analytics property is configured.
Embedded media and external platforms
The site uses privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds where practical and links to listening, broadcast, social, guest, sponsor, partner, and organization websites. When you play embedded media or follow an external link, the destination service may receive technical information or use its own cookies, local storage, or similar technologies under its own policies.
Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, True Oldies, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, AvantLink-linked merchant destinations, and other external destinations are not operated by The Alana Show.
Affiliate links and tracking consent
Some clearly identified partner links may be affiliate links. If a qualifying purchase is made through one of those links, The Alana Show may earn a commission at no additional cost to the purchaser.
Where AvantLink is used, the website does not automatically send an affiliate tracking click. Before an active AvantLink partner link is opened, the visitor is shown a disclosure explaining that the outbound click may cause AvantLink or the merchant to set a tracking cookie for attribution. The visitor must affirmatively choose to continue before the affiliate link is opened.
Affiliate links are used only for identified commercial relationships and are kept separate from The Alana Show’s editorial coverage. Merchant offers and coupon codes are displayed only when authorized through the applicable affiliate program.
Security and data minimization
The website uses HTTPS, keeps service credentials on the server rather than in public browser code, limits public form inputs, and applies browser and server safeguards intended to reduce abuse and unnecessary data exposure.
No internet service can promise absolute security. The goal is to collect no more than the site reasonably needs and to use proportionate safeguards for the information it handles.
Your choices and questions
You can unsubscribe from newsletter email using the unsubscribe option in those messages. You may also contact The Alana Show to ask about information you submitted through the website or request a reasonable correction or deletion, subject to legitimate operational or legal needs.
If optional Google Analytics measurement is available, you may decline it when prompted. You can revisit that choice at any time using the button below. Affiliate tracking is separate: an AvantLink tracking link is not opened unless you affirmatively choose to continue through the partner disclosure shown at the time of the click.
